40% Of Democrats in West Virginia Prefer a Prison Inmate to Barack Obama

And that’s not according to some random spammable FoxNews internet poll but among real-life voters in the West Virginia primary election.

The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. With 93 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving just under 60 percent of the vote to Judd’s 40 percent.

In case you were wondering just how unpopular Obama is in West Virginia, Joe Manchin, a Democratic Senator from the state won’t say who he voted for.  That means a guy running for re-election this year would rather leave open the possibility he voted for an imprisoned felon rather than his party’s sitting President.

I think it’s safe to say Romney will win West Virginia.
